Dear Sea,
I’m slightly unnerved by the distance between you and me.
I thought our love was a wave of support,
Yet you haven’t come to see me in so long.
Being under lockdown doesn’t mean you can’t call me.
Dear Sea, where have you been?
You used to caress my feet,
The tender love covering every inch of my naked toes.
But I haven’t felt your touch in what feels like forever.
I don’t know what I’d do if I went to see you,
And you shunned me.
I don’t know what I’d do if you declined to see me.
I’ll sit here quietly.
Instead thinking of what could’ve been,
If I stopped waiting on you,
And took a chance to approach you.
Dear Sea, will you be the same for me?
